Welcome to Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church
We are a growing congregation dedicated to life and service in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
We also are a community of faith reflecting the dynamic driving the city of Charlotte, with roots sunk deep in the history of the area, yet changing as the community around us changes and develops.
Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church was established in 1824 as a Presbyterian congregation in the midst of the family farms of northeastern Mecklenburg County. Many of the families who founded the church are reflected in the markers of old cemetery next to the church, but also are represented in the faces gathering each Sunday morning. We have not forgotten our roots and still try to maintain a presence of warmth, faith, and family as we go about our work together.
However, our area of the Charlotte metro region has experienced a period of unprecedented growth and development over the last decade. The family farms have disappeared as subdivisions and office parks have grown to meet the growing demands of booming city. We are trying to meet this new diversity in our midst welcoming all who come to worship or join in any of our programs. We have a staff sensitive to the changes around us and they are helping us to meet the new world blossoming nearby in faith and love.
In short we are a church trying to live by our motto, “You are never a stranger here. “In faith and ministry we are dedicated Presbyterians trying to live by the gospel, welcoming all and meeting new needs each day, yet staying true to our heritage and traditions. Visit with us. We will welcome you and help you find a place within the ministry of Christ in this church.
